Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 1/2 t. salt
  • 1/4 t. pepper
  • 1 med. onion, chopped
  • 1 t. sugar
  • 1/2 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 No. 2 1/2 can tomatoes, drained
  • 1 can French style green beans, drained
  • Mashed potatoes
  • 1/2 c. grated cheese

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, brown the hamburger with salt, pepper, chopped onion, sugar, and chopped green pepper.
  2. Add the drained green beans and tomatoes to the skillet and stir gently.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a casserole dish.
  4. Pipe mashed potatoes around the outer edge of the casserole.
  5. Sprinkle grated cheese over the mashed potatoes.
  6. Bake in the oven until heated through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
