Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • powdered sugar
  • oil

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Add yogurt and eggs to the dry ingredients and mix until a smooth batter forms.
  3. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot until hot (around 350°F/175°C).
  4. Using a spoon or scoop, carefully drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil.
  5. Fry the donuts until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Remove donuts from oil and drain on paper towels.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
