Tips & Substitutions
For a lighter filling, you can substitute Greek yogurt for half of the sour cream. If you're out of frozen apple juice concentrate, use an equal amount of fresh apple juice. Make sure the pastry shell is completely cooled before adding the filling to prevent it from becoming soggy. To enhance the flavor, consider adding a pinch of nutmeg along with the cinnamon.
Serving Suggestions
Serve the Harvest Fruit Tart chilled for the best flavor. It pairs beautifully with Judy'S Ice Cream for a decadent dessert experience. Consider a side of lightly whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream to complement the tart's sweetness. This delightful dish is perfect for holiday gatherings or as a refreshing summer treat.
Storage & Reheating
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place individual slices in the microwave for about 15-20 seconds or enjoy them cold. The tart is best served fresh, but the flavors will continue to meld after a day in the fridge.
