  3. Pour the mixture over the potatoes and refrigerate if desired before baking.

Tips & Substitutions

For a creamier texture, consider substituting the cream of mushroom soup with a homemade version or a different cream soup like cream of chicken. If you're short on time, you can use frozen hash browns directly instead of thawed, but they may take a few extra minutes to cook. Adding diced bell peppers or sautéed mushrooms can enhance the flavor profile, making it reminiscent of dishes like Janean'S Liver And Mushroom Dish.

Serving Suggestions

This dish is perfect as a hearty breakfast or brunch option, and it pairs beautifully with scrambled eggs or a fresh green salad for lunch. For an added twist, serve it alongside Zucchini Cheese Squares for a delightful mix of flavors. Consider garnishing with fresh herbs like chives or parsley for an extra burst of color.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 15-20 minutes until heated through. Alternatively, you can microwave it in short intervals, but the oven will help maintain the crispy topping.
