Ingredients

  • 16 oz. sour cream
  • 10 oz. condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 32 oz. thawed frozen hash brown potatoes
  • 2 cups smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 lb. processed cheese (Velveeta), cubed
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cups crushed cornflakes
  • 1/2 cup melted margarine
  • 4 oz. shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3 green pepper rings

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine sour cream and condensed cream of chicken soup.
  2. Stir in thawed hash brown potatoes, smoked sausage, cubed processed cheese, and chopped onion.
  3. Pour the mixture into a greased 3-quart baking dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, toss together crushed cornflakes and melted margarine.
  5. Sprinkle the cornflake mixture evenly over the top of the casserole.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 45 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
