Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 1/2 pounds hamburger meat
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 2/3 cup cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 15-ounce can pineapple chunks

Instructions

  1. Combine evaporated milk, chopped onions, cracker crumbs, and hamburger meat in a bowl.
  2. Form the mixture into balls with a pineapple chunk inside each.
  3. Brown the meatballs in a small amount of oil in a large skillet.
  4. Drain the pineapple chunks and save the syrup.
  5. Add water to the syrup to make 1 cup.
