Hawaiian Bbq Chicken Wings

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs chicken wings - about 16 wings
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1 heaping teaspoon of fresh ginger
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 small yellow onion, diced (I used green onion)
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • (I added some fresh pineapple juice and chunks)

Instructions

  1. 1. Spray inside of slow cooker with cooking spray. Place the chicken wings inside. slow cooker.
  2. 2. In medium bowl, mix all the remaining ingredients until well combined.
  3. 3. Taste the sauce. Adjust flavors to suit your preference, if needed.
  4. 4. Pour sauce over wings. Adjust temperature on slow cooker to low.
  5. 5. Cook chicken wings for about 3-4 hrs (if wings are frozen).
  6. 6. Place the wings in a preheated oven (400 degrees) for 20 min. Serve.
