Hazel's Carrots are a creamy, savory side dish featuring tender cooked carrots mixed with onions, celery, mustard, and mayonnaise, topped with buttery bread crumbs and baked to perfection.

Ingredients

  • 8 whole large carrots
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup finely chopped celery
  • 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
  • 1/2 cup buttered bread crumbs

Instructions

  1. Mash cooked carrots.
  2. Add chopped celery, onions, mustard, and mayonnaise.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Put in baking dish and sprinkle with buttered bread crumbs.
  5. Bake, uncovered, at 300°F (150°C) for 1 hour.
