Herb-stuffed pork chops feature tender meat filled with flavorful herb dressing, baked in creamy mushroom soup for a hearty, satisfying meal perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 4 thick pork chops
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 3 Tbsp margarine
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup herb stuffing mix
  • 1/4 cup water
  • all-purpose flour
  • 4 Tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle the pork chops with salt and pepper and set aside.
  2. Sauté the chopped onion in margarine until tender.
  3. Combine the sautéed onion with the herb stuffing mix and add enough water to moisten the mixture.
  4. Fill the pockets of each pork chop with the stuffing mixture and close with toothpicks.
  5. Dredge the stuffed chops in all-purpose flour.
  6. Brown the chops in vegetable oil in a frypan.
  7. Place the browned chops in a 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
  8. Pour the cream of mushroom soup over the chops.
  9. Cover the pan and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour.
