Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 4 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1/2 lb. Velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 1/3 c. green pepper, chopped
  • 1 (3 oz.) can mushrooms, drained
  • 1/4 c. onion, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. pimento, chopped
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. thin spaghetti
  • 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 c. short ham strips, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Prepare a white sauce by melting butter and stirring in flour.
  2. Gradually add milk, stirring until smooth and thickened.
  3. Add Velveeta cheese cubes and stir until melted into the sauce.
  4. Stir in chopped green pepper, drained mushrooms, chopped onion, and chopped pimento.
  5. Cook spaghetti until al dente, drain, and toss with 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese to coat.
  6. Layer the coated spaghetti into a buttered 12 x 9-inch baking dish.
  7. Add the thinly sliced ham strips over the spaghetti.
  8. Pour the cheese sauce and vegetable mixture over the ham and spaghetti layers.
  9. Sprinkle remaining Parmesan cheese on top.
  10. Bake at 375°F for 25 minutes or until heated through and bubbly.
