Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped onions
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can mixed vegetables
  • 1 box Jiffy cornmeal mix
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 1 can water

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet; cook the chopped onions and celery until tender.
  2. Mix the mushroom soup, water, and mixed vegetables together in the bottom of a baking dish.
  3. Add the cooked meat and vegetables to the baking dish and mix well.
  4. Prepare the cornbread mix according to the package directions.
  5. Pour the cornbread batter on top of the meat and vegetable mixture.
  6. Bake at 350°F until the bread is done and golden brown, about 40-45 minutes.
