Ingredients

  • 1 large can fruit cocktail, drained
  • 1 small can pineapple chunks, drained
  • 1 small can mandarin oranges, drained
  • 1 jar cherries, drained (optional)
  • 4 bananas
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 cups reserved fruit juice
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 pt. whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan.
  2. Mix in the flour and cook until smooth.
  3. Combine the fruit juices, sugar, and beaten egg, then add to the flour mixture.
  4. Cook and stir until the mixture thickens into pudding.
  5. Allow the pudding to cool.
  6. Add the cooled pudding to the drained fruit (except bananas).
  7. When ready to serve, whip the cream and cut up the bananas.
  8. Fold the whipped cream and bananas into the fruit mixture before serving.
