Ingredients

  • 2 pkg. compressed or dried yeast
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. lukewarm water
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 6 c. flour

Instructions

  1. Soften the yeast in lukewarm water.
  2. Scald the milk and add sugar, salt, and margarine.
  3. Cool the mixture to lukewarm.
  4. Add 2 cups of flour and beat well.
  5. Add the softened yeast and eggs.
  6. Mix well and add the remaining flour to make a soft dough.
  7. Turn out on a floured board or countertop and knead until smooth and satiny.
