  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. ground coriander

  • 2 Tbsp. powdered red chili
  • 1/2 c. cooking oil
  • 2 c. chicken stock
  • pinch of ground cloves

  3. Place the cooking oil in a frying pan and add the paste to it.
  4. Fry the mixture for several minutes, then add the chicken stock.

Tips & Substitutions

For a smoother sauce, blend your ingredients in smaller batches. If you can't find bitter chocolate, dark chocolate can be a good substitute, but reduce the amount slightly for less sweetness. Adjust the spice level by adding more or less powdered red chili according to your taste. Consider using roasted almonds for a deeper flavor.

Serving Suggestions

Holy Mole Sauce pairs beautifully with grilled chicken, making it a perfect accompaniment for dishes like Mom'S (Doris') Taco Chicken. Serve it over rice or alongside warm tortillas for a complete meal. You can also drizzle it over enchiladas or use it as a dipping sauce for tacos. Consider serving with Fiesta Black Beans And Rice for a flavorful combination.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. To reheat, gently warm the sauce on the stovetop over low heat, stirring occasionally. If the sauce thickens too much, add a splash of chicken stock or water to reach your desired consistency.
