Ingredients

  • 16 oz. can hominy
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • liquid from drained hominy
  • milk to measure 1 cup

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat.
  2. Blend in the flour and salt until smooth.
  3. Drain the liquid from the hominy and add enough milk to make 1 cup.
  4. Add the hominy mixture to the saucepan.
  5. Cook until thickened, then blend in the shredded Cheddar cheese and chili.
  6. Pour the mixture over the hominy in a casserole dish and heat in the microwave for 6 minutes.
