Ingredients

  • 1 lb. asparagus
  • 1 Tbsp. corn oil margarine
  • 1/4 c. fresh bread crumbs
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 3 to 4 shakes hot pepper sauce

Instructions

  1. Wash asparagus and trim tough parts of stems; set aside. Prepare bread crumbs; put in blender or food processor to make fine crumbs.
  2. Steam asparagus in a small amount of water until tender.
  3. Melt margarine in a pan; add hot pepper sauce.
  4. Add bread crumbs and salt; sauté until golden.
  5. Place well-drained asparagus in a serving dish; top with hot bread crumbs.
