Ingredients

  • 3 medium sweet onions
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 1/4 cup bacon drippings
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 3 tablespoons vinegar
  • chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Peel onions and slice into 1/4-inch thick rings.
  2. Fry bacon until crisp; drain and crumble or chop.
  3. Separate onion into rings and sauté in bacon drippings until tender-crisp.
  4. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and flour; stir gently to combine.
