- Combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, ground red pepper, and grated Romano cheese in a large bowl; make a well in the center of the mixture.
- Combine the nonfat buttermilk and canola oil; add to the flour mixture, stirring just until ingredients are moistened.
- Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour over a work surface.
- Turn the dough onto the floured surface.
- Knead the dough 3 or 4 times.
- Roll the dough to 1/2 inch thickness and cut with a 1 1/2-inch biscuit cutter.
- Place the rounds on an ungreased baking sheet and lightly coat the tops with Mazola spray.
- Bake at 400°F for 15 minutes, until golden brown.
