Hot Seedy Rolls
Warm, hearty whole wheat rolls with a seedy crunch, soft inside, perfect for breakfast or as a side, appealing to bread lovers seeking wholesome flavors.

- Cover whole wheat kernels with water and soak for 2 to 4 hours. Drain.
- In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk. Add salt, oil, and cottage cheese. Blend well.
- Add 1/2 of the soaked wheat kernels, all of the whole wheat flour, and most of the all-purpose flour. Mix thoroughly.
- Knead the dough until smooth. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 40 minutes.
- Turn out the dough onto a lightly floured board and knead again.
- Divide the dough into 20 equal pieces and form into rolls.
- Place the rolls on cookie sheets.
- Let the rolls rise for 20 minutes. Brush with warm water.
- Sprinkle the remaining slightly crushed wheat kernels on top of the rolls.
- Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15 minutes. Remove from oven, cover, and cool.
