Hot Turkey Pie
Ingredients
- 1 (9-inch) baked pie shell ⓘ
- 1 c. chopped celery ⓘ
- 1/3 c. chopped green pepper ⓘ
- 2 Tbsp. finely chopped onion ⓘ
- 1/2 c. coarsely chopped pecans ⓘ
- 1/4 tsp. pepper ⓘ
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice ⓘ
- 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed cream of chicken soup ⓘ
- 3 Tbsp. snipped fresh parsley ⓘ
- 1/2 c. shredded Swiss or Cheddar cheese ⓘ
- 2 c. cubed, cooked turkey ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. salt ⓘ
- 1/2 c. mayonnaise ⓘ
Instructions
- Combine turkey, celery, green pepper, onion, pecans, pepper, salt, lemon juice, mayonnaise and soup.
- Spoon into pie shell. Sprinkle cheese and parsley over top.
- Bake in 350° oven for 30 minutes or until heated through.
- If desired, reserve 1 tablespoon pecans to sprinkle over top of pie before serving.
- Makes 8 servings.
