Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon soda
  • 4 1/8 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1/2 package seedless raisins
  • 1/3 package caraway seed
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Sift together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and sugar.
  2. Add the milk, beaten eggs, seedless raisins, caraway seed, and chopped walnuts to the dry ingredients.
  3. Mix all ingredients together thoroughly.
  4. Pour the batter into a 9 x 5 x 3-inch bread pan.
  5. Bake in a 350°F oven for 45 to 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
