Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. extra lean ground beef
  • 1 (8 oz.) can mushroom pieces
  • 2 pkg. frozen chopped broccoli
  • 1 (8 oz.) light sour cream
  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 3/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 5 Tbsp. minced dry onion
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. grated Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 (6 oz.) grated Cheddar cheese or Colby cheese

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef and mushroom pieces, then drain excess oil.
  2. Cook broccoli as directed on the package; drain.
  3. In a large bowl, combine cooked beef, mushrooms, broccoli, light sour cream, cream of celery soup, cream of mushroom soup, garlic powder, black pepper, and minced dry onion. Mix well.
  4. Spread a thin layer of the mixture in a 9x13-inch casserole dish.
  5. Sprinkle with half of both cheeses (Mozzarella and Cheddar or Colby).
  6. Add the remaining mixture on top of the cheese layer.
  7. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes if baking immediately.
  9. For future use, cover tightly with foil wrap before baking and freeze.
