Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 2 c. jam
  • 2 c. nuts, chopped
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. cloves
  • 2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 box raisins, ground
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 tsp. soda

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients together and bake until well done.
  2. Makes 3 layers.
  3. For fruit cake, add 1 jar candied fruits to cake batter.
