Ingredients

  • 7 cups rice
  • 2 cans Chinese noodles
  • 2 stewing chickens
  • 2 cans crushed pineapple, drained
  • 2 cups celery
  • 2 cups onion
  • 2 cups almonds
  • 2 cups coconut
  • 1 pound grated cheese
  • chicken broth gravy (thickened with cornstarch)

Instructions

  1. Arrange all ingredients in separate dishes around the table.
  2. Each person takes a plate and, starting from one end, adds each ingredient on top of the other in the order desired.
  3. Add hot chicken broth gravy thickened with cornstarch last, ensuring it is served very hot.
  4. Be careful not to start with too large a serving of rice to allow space for other ingredients.
