Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 (1 lb) cans tomatoes
  • 8 to 10 oz frozen green beans
  • 2 (1 lb) cans whole potatoes
  • 2 Tbsp flour
  • 2 Tbsp water
  • 1 Tbsp sugar

Instructions

  1. Saute onion with ground beef until browned; drain excess fat.
  2. Add canned tomatoes, canned potatoes, frozen green beans, and sugar to the beef mixture.
  3. Cook until green beans are tender, about 20 minutes.
  4. Mix water with flour to create a slurry; stir into the stew.
  5. Cook for an additional minute, stirring constantly until thickened.
  6. Serve hot.
