Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground chuck
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon catsup
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 12 taco shells
  • shredded lettuce
  • chopped tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheese
  • commercial taco sauce

Instructions

  1. Crumble ground beef into a 1 1/2-quart casserole.
  2. Add chopped onion, catsup, chili powder, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Microwave at high for 6 to 7 minutes, stirring at 2-minute intervals.
  4. Drain away grease from the cooked meat.
  5. Spoon 3 tablespoons of meat mixture into each taco shell.
  6. Top with shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, and shredded cheese.
  7. Serve with commercial taco sauce.
