Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper
  • chili powder to taste
  • 1/3 cup raw rice
  • 1 (10 oz.) can tomato soup
  • 1 (10 oz.) can water
  • 3 cups coarsely chopped cabbage

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet.
  2. Add salt, pepper, chopped onion, chili powder, raw rice, tomato soup, and water to the beef.
  3. Cook gently for 2 or 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Place the chopped cabbage in a casserole dish.
  5. Pour the meat mixture over the cabbage without stirring.
  6. Cover and bake at 350°F for 2 hours or longer if desired.
