Ingredients

  • 1 c. dark molasses, heated
  • 1/3 c. Crisco
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder

Instructions

  1. Heat molasses, then cool.
  2. Add Crisco, sugar, ginger, cinnamon, soda and salt.
  3. Add well beaten egg.
  4. Then beat in flour and baking powder.
  5. Put in refrigerator for 1 hour.
  6. Roll thin and bake at 350° for about 10 minutes.
