A vibrant layered salad featuring fresh vegetables, cheddar cheese, and a creamy mayonnaise dressing, perfect for summer gatherings and light, flavorful meals.

Ingredients

  • lettuce
  • 3/4 c. celery
  • 1/2 c. green pepper
  • 1 medium red onion
  • 1 bag uncooked frozen baby peas
  • 1 c. mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Cut lettuce enough to cover the bottom of a casserole dish.
  2. Mix mayonnaise and sugar together until well combined.
  3. Layer lettuce, celery, green pepper, red onion, and cooked peas in the dish.
  4. Spread the mayonnaise mixture over the peas layer.
  5. Cover with grated Cheddar cheese.
  6. Sprinkle bacon bits on top of the cheese layer.
  7. Cover with Glad Wrap and let set in the refrigerator overnight.
  8. Beat the salad if made a day ahead before serving.
  9. Enjoy.
