Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • dash salt
  • dash pepper
  • dash garlic powder
  • cooked white rice
  • 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (10 oz) can stewed tomatoes, drained
  • 1 can French green beans, drained
  • 1 can mushrooms, drained

Instructions

  1. Start cooking the white rice.
  2. While the rice is cooking, brown the ground beef and chopped onion in a skillet.
  3. Drain the grease from the beef mixture, then season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add the tomato sauce and drained stewed tomatoes to the beef mixture.
  5. Bring the mixture to a boil, then lower the heat to simmer.
  6. Add the drained green beans and mushrooms to the skillet.
  7. Cover and simmer until the rice is cooked and the flavors meld together.
  8. Serve the hot beef and vegetable mixture over mounds of cooked rice.
