Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 lb. ground chuck
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed vegetable soup
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 36 saltine crackers, crushed
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup ketchup

Instructions

  1. Combine ground chuck, beaten eggs, condensed vegetable soup, tomato sauce, crushed saltine crackers, and Worcestershire sauce in a large bowl; mix lightly until blended.
  2. Shape the mixture into a meat loaf.
  3. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 1 hour or until richly glazed.
  4. Mix a small amount of brown sugar and honey for the topping.
  5. Spread the topping over the meat loaf and heat for an additional 15 minutes.
