Ingredients

  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 1 cup chopped English walnuts
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 (9-inch) unbaked deep dish pie crust

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cream the margarine and sugars until fluffy.
  3. Add flour and mix until absorbed.
  4. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Mix corn syrup, salt, vanilla, and bourbon into the batter.
  6. Fold in chopped English walnuts and chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the filling into the unbaked deep dish pie crust.
  8. Bake for 40 minutes or until the pie is set but not runny.
  9. Remove from oven and let cool for about 30 minutes before serving.
