Ingredients

  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 pound hamburger, browned
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seed
  • 2 cups well-drained sauerkraut
  • 4 cups cooked potatoes
  • 1/2 cup buttered bread crumbs
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Combine the cream of mushroom soup and mayonnaise in a bowl.
  2. Add half of the soup mixture to the browned hamburger, caraway seed, and well-drained sauerkraut; mix well.
  3. Spread this mixture into a greased baking dish.
  4. Stir the remaining soup mixture into the cooked potatoes until well combined.
  5. Spread the potato mixture over the meat and sauerkraut layer in the baking dish.
  6. Sprinkle buttered bread crumbs and paprika on top.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 45 minutes until bubbly and golden.
