Ingredients

  • 12 c. flour
  • 1/3 c. baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 7 eggs
  • 1/4 lb. butter (1 stick), softened
  • milk

Instructions

  1. Put together dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Cream softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs to the creamed mixture and beat well.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients, a little at a time, mixing well.
  5. Add milk gradually until a dough forms.
  6. Place dough on a floured board.
  7. Knead until smooth and the batter does not stick to your hands.
