Ingredients

  • 1 head lettuce, chopped
  • 3/4 cup celery, chopped
  • 2 cups frozen peas
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 pound bacon, crisp and crumbled
  • 2 cups mayonnaise or Miracle Whip
  • 1 package grated Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Layer chopped lettuce, chopped celery, chopped green pepper, and frozen peas in a large glass salad bowl.
  2. Spread mayonnaise or Miracle Whip evenly over the layered vegetables, covering completely to the edges.
  3. Sprinkle grated Cheddar cheese over the mayonnaise layer.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 8 hours to allow flavors to meld.
  5. Before serving, sprinkle crumbled crisp bacon on top.
