Ingredients

  • 1 lb hamburger, cooked and well drained
  • 1 large can tomatoes, drained
  • 1 can corn, partially drained
  • 1 can garden peas, partially drained
  • 1 can baby lima beans, partially drained
  • 2 to 3 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 to 3 Tbsp hot sauce
  • 2 large potatoes, diced
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • pepper (optional)
  • water to fill pot

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients, including cooked hamburger, canned vegetables, potatoes, carrots, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, and water, into a large pot.
  2. Since canned vegetables are used, adding salt is unnecessary; for lower sodium, use no salt canned vegetables.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil and cook for several minutes.
  4. Lower the heat and simmer the soup for several hours to develop flavors.
  5. Serve hot; this is a very hearty winter soup.
