Ingredients

  • 3 cups chopped cabbage
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • salt
  • pepper
  • dash of garlic powder
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 can water
  • 3 tablespoons uncooked rice
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup grated cheese

Instructions

  1. Place chopped cabbage in a greased casserole dish.
  2. Brown the lean ground beef with chopped onion in a skillet and drain excess fat.
  3. Add salt, pepper, and a dash of garlic powder to the beef mixture.
  4. Stir in the can of tomato soup and water, mixing thoroughly.
  5. Add uncooked rice to the beef and soup mixture.
  6. Pour the mixture over the cabbage in the casserole dish and mix lightly.
  7. Sprinkle grated cheese on top.
  8. Cover and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 to 1 1/2 hours until cooked through.
