- Brown the ground beef in a large saucepan and drain.
- Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, garlic salt, and spaghetti sauce mix. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix Ricotta or cottage cheese, egg, and Parmesan cheese.
- Spread a little of the meat sauce in the bottom of a 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
- Layer lasagna noodles, 1/3 of the meat sauce, and half of the cheese mixture.
- Repeat the layering with remaining noodles, meat sauce, and cheese mixture.
- Top with the remaining meat sauce and sprinkle shredded Mozzarella cheese on top.
- Cover with foil and bake at 350°F for one hour or until noodles are tender.
- Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting.
