Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 teaspoons lemon rind
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Beat egg whites until stiff and gradually add sugar.
  2. Add lemon juice to the egg whites and gently fold in nuts.
  3. Spread this mixture over the baked buttery flour base.
  4. Bake for an additional 25 minutes until golden and set.
  5. Allow to cool completely before cutting into sticks.
