Ingredients

  • 1 envelope Lipton onion soup mix
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup margarine, melted
  • 1 teaspoon thyme leaves (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon marjoram leaves (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 pounds potatoes, cut into quarters

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. In a shallow baking pan, thoroughly blend the onion soup mix, vegetable oil, melted margarine, thyme, marjoram, and pepper.
  3. Add the potatoes and turn to coat them thoroughly with the mixture.
  4. Bake, turning the potatoes over halfway through baking, for 60 minutes or until tender and golden brown.
