Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 slices bacon
  • 2 to 3 ribs celery
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. oregano
  • 2 to 3 good shakes Worcestershire sauce
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. Saute chopped celery, bell pepper, and onion in the fat from cooked bacon until vegetables are tender.
  2. Add tomato sauce, oregano, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper; stir in crumbled bacon.
  3. Pour uncooked rice into a rice steamer, add the vegetable and sauce mixture, and stir to combine.
  4. Cook in the rice steamer for 1 hour, stirring with a fork after 45 minutes.
  5. Adjust seasonings as needed before serving.
