Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 large can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 (12 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
  • 1 3/4 cans beer
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 1/2 tbsp oregano
  • 1 tbsp basil
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp thyme
  • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 1 box small mushrooms
  • 3 to 4 cloves garlic
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Saute ground turkey in a skillet until cooked through; drain excess fat.
  2. Add crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, and beer to the skillet.
  3. Season with crushed bay leaf, oregano, basil, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  4. Saute in olive oil with chopped onion, chopped celery, sliced mushrooms, and minced garlic.
  5. Slowly cook all ingredients together for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
  6. Serve over freshly cooked pasta.
