Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup Mazola oil
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 cup skim milk
  • 1 cup warm water (105° to 110°)
  • 2 packets dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup Egg Beaters
  • 6 to 7 cups plain flour
  • 3 tablespoons corn oil margarine, melted

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl of electric mixer, combine Mazola oil, sugar, salt, and heated skim milk.
  2. Mix well.
  3. Dissolve dry yeast in 1 cup warm water (105° to 110°).
  4. Let sit for 5 minutes.
  5. Gradually add Egg Beaters, yeast mixture, and 2 1/2 cups of plain flour to the large bowl.
  6. Beat 3 minutes at high speed.
  7. Stir in enough remaining flour to make a soft dough.
  8. Knead the dough until smooth and elastic.
  9. Let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  10. Punch down the dough and divide into equal portions.
  11. Shape into rolls and place on greased baking sheets.
  12. Brush the tops with melted corn oil margarine.
  13. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 15 minutes or until golden brown.
