Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef or ground pork
  • 1 small can water chestnuts, chopped
  • 3 stalks celery, chopped
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 3 tbsp onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • pepper to taste
  • 1 package lumpia wrappers, thawed

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef or pork; drain excess fat.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cooked meat with chopped water chestnuts, celery, carrots, onion, garlic, egg, soy sauce, and pepper.
  3. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  4. Wrap the mixture in lumpia wrappers and fry until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Serve hot with dipping sauce.
