Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and grease a 9 x 13 inch baking pan.
  2. Cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine flour, salt, and baking soda.
  6. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture.
  7. Fold in oats, chocolate chips, and chopped nuts.
  8. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  9. Bake for approximately 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  10. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
