Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Brown the lean ground beef in a skillet over low heat.
  2. Add chopped celery, bell peppers, and onions on top of the beef and sauté, stirring occasionally to avoid overcooking the vegetables.
  3. Drain excess fat from the mixture.
  4. Add red kidney beans, brown beans, brown sugar, ketchup, and mustard to the skillet, stirring to combine.
  5. Simmer the mixture, stirring occasionally, until the flavors meld and the sauce thickens, about 20 minutes.
  6. Transfer to a baking dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15 minutes, or until bubbly and caramelized.
