Ingredients

  • 1 lb. dry beans
  • 2 Tbsp. molasses
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 1 heaping tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/2 lb. salt pork
  • 1 medium onion

Instructions

  1. Wash beans and soak overnight.
  2. Next morning, drain the soaked beans and place them in a crock-pot.
  3. Bury the peeled onion and score the salt pork (make gashes in it).
  4. Add salt, pepper, dry mustard, and molasses to the beans.
  5. Cover the beans with boiling water.
  6. Cook on high in the crock-pot all day until beans are tender.
