- Put the meat in a roaster.
- Mix onion, brown sugar, dry mustard, red pepper, black pepper, vinegar, water, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and salt.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the meat.
- Cover the roaster.
- Cook in a 325°F (160°C) oven for 5 to 6 hours until the meat is very tender and falls off the bone.
- Let the meat and drippings cool completely.
- Remove all fat from the cooled meat and sauce.
- Chop the meat and reheat it in the sauce before serving.
- May be frozen for later use.
