- Combine melted margarine and brown sugar and pour into a 9 x 12-inch cake pan.
- Arrange pineapple slices, cherries, and nuts on top of the sugar mixture.

- Pour the cake batter over the pineapple and toppings, filling the pan two-thirds full.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 50 to 60 minutes.
