Ingredients

  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. shortening
  • 2/3 or 3/4 c. milk
  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • onion
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt into a mixing bowl.
  2. Cut in shortening using a pastry blender until the mixture resembles a fine meal.
  3. Add milk all at once and mix to form a soft dough.
  4. Use a lightly floured surface to knead the dough lightly about 20 times.
  5. Place the dough on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  6. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  7. Bake in the oven for 10 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
